BOC Hike – Sunday, December 8th at 10:00AM (Clear Creek State Forest – Kennerdell Tract)

Please join us for a 6-mile hike at the Kennerdell Tract of Clear Creek State Forest. We’ll meet at the Dewoody Road trailhead, hike to the Allegheny River overlook, then return via the Kennerdell and South trails. No shuttle. This site is undeveloped and there’s no potable water nor bathrooms at the trailhead. GPS coordinates for the Dewoody Road Trailhead     41°16’08.4″N 79°52’19.4″W Getting to the DeWoody Rd Trailhead: * Travel PA 8 North * 1.0 Mile north of Route 80, turn left onto old PA 8 * Travel old PA 8 for 4.9 miles then * Turn right onto Dennison Run Rd and travel for 1.7 miles then * Turn right onto DeWoody Rd * Travel 1.2 miles on DeWoody Rd to the trailhead

BOC New Year’s Day Picnic & Hike – Wednesday, January 1st at Noon (McDanels Boat Launch – Pavilion #7 – Moraine State Park)

Join us for the first outing of the new year.  Please bring a dish, dessert or drink to share for a potluck picnic.  Plates, utensils, cups and napkins will be provided.  There will be a 5.2 mile hike on the North Country Trail following the picnic.  This is a joint event between the Butler Outdoor Club and the Butler Chapter of the NCTA.
