BOC April Bike Ride – Saturday, April 27th at 1:00PM (Armstrong Trail – Ford City)RESCHEDULED

Rescheduling to next Saturday, May 4th.  Same time and place.

The Bike Ride for April is going to be on the Armstrong Trail. It is going to be on Saturday April 27 at 1pm. We are going to start in Ford City and go south for 10 miles on a new section of the Armstrong Trail to a bridge in Schenley. It is going to be an out and back ride, Please give Rich an email address to get a hold of you in case he has to cancel because of the weather at rich1946.rt@gmail.com To get there from Butler get on 422 east take Ford City Ext A on to PA-66 south go 1.7 miles take a slight right on Ford City PA 128 to 100 3rd Ave Parking Lot In Ford City. 100 3rd Ave Ford City is a good address for your phone or GPS. Let’s hope for good weather.

BOC Hike – Sunday, April 28th at 11:00AM (North Country Trail – Rt. 528 Trail Head)

Please join us for an Earth Week Hike along the North Country Trail to support the “Hike for Literacy” fundraiser for the North Trails Public Library of West Sunbury, PA.  The hike is open to all who want to attend.  We’ll be starting at the trailhead on Route 528 just north of Lake Arthur and heading towards Jennings.  This is an out and back hike so you can hike as far as you want.  There’s a nice overlook of the lake about 0.4 miles from the trailhead; from there we’ll continue heading north.  Please consider helping the Butler Outdoor Club support the North Trails Public Library by checking out this link

BOC Membership Meeting – Wednesday, May 1st at 6:00PM (145 Thunder Mountain Lane)

Please join us for the next BOC membership meeting on May 1, 2024 at 145 Thunder Mountain Lane in
Portersville, PA. We’re meeting at the home of Bob and Berenice Madjaric. Their property is Certified by
the Audubon Society as a Wildlife Sanctuary. Bob and Berenice will show us around their place. Bring
snacks like usual.

We’ll be meeting outside so dress for the weather and please bring along a chair. A map of
145 Thunder Mountain Lane is below. We’re meeting at the location indicated by the red arrow on the

BOC Backpack – Saturday/Sunday, May 4th and 5th (Quehanna Area, PA Wilds)

Quehanna Area Backpack May 4th-5th. We will be hiking 13 miles over two days on the Quehanna Trail and two side trails, the Red Run Trail and the Sanders Trail. This is a moderately strenuous trip. For more information contact Joe at hardis123@msn.com
